Here is the Log file that I get when the sign in fails on the Mac: We completely turned off the Firewall on the Lync 2013 server to ensure that the connection was not being blocked. I am able to ping the Lync 2013 server from my Mac and also ping my Mac from the Lync 2013 Server. Yes, I have Lync 2013 Client for Windows and am able to log in and user it just fine.   • Deleted all Lync configuration files in the following locations and let Lync recreate them:.
  • Set Lync to manual configuration and entered the Internal and External Server name.
  • Generated a new Kerberos ticket by running "kinit" from terminal.
  • Tried to sign in using Kerberos and not using Kerberos.
  • Updated Lync to the newest version 14.0.2.
  • The certificates are in all three areas available (Login, Microsoft Certificates, System).

  • Made sure the security certificates for both the Domain and the Lync Server were in Keychain Access and set to always trust.

    I am currently on our network with the Mac joined to Active Directory. I have not been able to successfully log in and am receiving the error message: "Sign in to Microsoft Lync failed because the service is not available or you may need to be connected to the internet."
